Haryana Staff Selection Commission Bays No 67-68, Sector 2 Panchkula, Haryana Website: http://hssc.gov.in Haryana Staff Selection Commission has issued the notice to the candidates for holding written test for the post of Taxation Inspector and Excise Inspector (Excise & Taxation Department, Haryana). Reference Advt. No.3/2010, Category No.6 & 5 published in the various news papers on 15.9.2010 read with corrigendum dated 6.10.2010 for 47 posts of Taxation Inspector and 13 posts of Excise Inspector, Excise and Taxation Department, Haryana.


It is for the information of all the eligible candidates that the Haryana Staff Selection Commission will hold written examinations on 11.09.2011 (Sunday) for the post of Taxation Inspector and Excise Inspector as per schedule given below:-

Examination Format: The above written examinations will be of graduation level comprising of 200 objective type multiple choice questions comprising of general English, general knowledge/ general studies & Hindi (upto Matric level) and in two parts as under :-

Part-A (100 questions) English, Hindi
Part-B (100 questions) General knowledge/general studies




Each question will carry two marks. No candidate shall be deemed to have qualified for the viva-voce unless he obtains a minimum of 33 % marks in each part and a minimum of 40 % in the aggregate. However, as per law laid down by the Hon’ble Apex Court, candidates equal to three times of the number of vacancies will be called for interview based on their performance in the written test. The total marks obtained in the written test and viva-voce will determine the final merit of the candidates in their respective General/Reserved categories. Viva Voce will be of 50 marks.


Note: Roll Numbers for the above written examinations are being issued separately to all the eligible candidates. If any candidate does not receive the call letter upto 06.09.2011 he/she is advised to contact the Haryana Staff Selection Commission office for receipt of Roll Number from 07.09.2011 to 09.09.2011 along with original mark-sheets/certificates, etc. in support of his academic qualifications, proof of having deposited the requisite fee, registered letter receipt and one photo. After the aforesaid date, no request for issue of duplicate Roll No. will be entertained. The Commission will not be responsible for postal delay in receipt of Roll Number, if any.
