This was stated by Education Minister Geeta Bhukkal while interacting with the media persons in Jhajjar yesterday.

She said that well equipped computer labs had already been set up in most of the schools.

The work of repair and maintenance of these computers had also been handed over to the concerned companies for smooth functioning of the entire system.

Lauding the efforts of State Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in this direction, she said that it was due to his progressive thinking that Government schools were being geared up to provide qualitative education.

She said that the present State government was striving to create a better academic environment in all the Government schools.

Further, the rationalisation of the teachers was also being done on the basis of number of students so that students could get proper attention.

Ms Bhukkal said that the unique initiative of starting additional classes of science streams during the summer vacations in Government schools had borne fruitful results.

She added that the Education Department would continue in its efforts to implement such qualitative improvements in the field of education.

Besides this, Mid-Day Meal scheme too was being implemented in the Government schools with greater improvements.

The State Government would soon launch a scheme for ensuring education for the children of nomadic tribes too, she said.

She said that it was very encouraging that the Prime Minister had appreciated the efforts of the Haryana Government in the field of education, especially the provision of pre-matric scholarships, in the recently held two-day annual conference of the Social Justice and Empowerment Ministers in Delhi.

The Minister also informed that the Technical Education Department has released the examination schedule for those students of Polytechnics who had missed out on the same. These exams would be held from June 29 to July 4, she said.
